Competence in Nonverbal Communication Must Be Taught By Future Interpreter Workers

If we refer to French people as belonging to French culture, we say that they exhibit similar traits, which are the typical sociological, technological and psychological attributes of their, and no other culture. It is important to realize that since the French have comparable ethnic models of counting on one another and forming teams on thematic basis in order to complete a wide range of assignments; their sign system for working under pressure is the same; they share the same religious beliefs; they show genuine behavioral traits, which are quite uncomplicated in various situations, communication with them can be impeded unless a French Translator worker is used to guide us through the maze of their culture. The relationship between the individual and the universe, the perception of space and time, the inner conscious of the individual, the guiding philosophy of the society are only some of the characteristics of the psychological aspect of culture. The geographic position which is set as the standard for two or more persons and the sites, roles, and standards set and conformed to relevant to one another in covering one’s fundamental needs are characteristics typical of the sociological aspect of culture. Health care activities, design and decoration of homes and public buildings, television and radio broadcasts, waste disposal and others are some of the artifacts included in the technological aspect of culture.

When we talk about communication we refer to a process through which one person or many people use signs and symbols, which bring out meaning and it happens when a verbal or non-verbal act is filled with significance. When the people dwell in one and the same physical milieu we can detect the symbolic act or some thrown in device or person, which can be an email, the Internet, or a mailman may express the same symbolic act between two people. The technological devices used to broadcast codes over space and time and the restrictions we experience through our receptors limit the possibility for communication in Vietnam, for example. So, the interdependence of communication and culture becomes possible only through a Vietnamese Translation organization if we consider how genuine communication patterns are established and customized within each unique cultural environment, and that the behavioral consistency from one generation to the next is possible only via some communication means. It is also evident that communication is only one means of inciting change in the beliefs about and behaviors toward the world.

A thorough investigation of the cultural and communication concepts will lead us to the conclusion that though there is variation between cultures, there is still some commonality. “To communicate” means to be “common” – a notion which can be traced back to the Latin language. This may lead us to the conclusion that the communicative act is related to achieving some commonness, and in Vietnam, it may be noted, persons who are designated as belonging to the same culture will have several things in common.
